NEVER PUSH OR ATTEMPT TO ASSIST STRANDED ANIMALS BACK TO THE WATER! More harm can be done and it is illegal without proper permits.

2012: Nest #49

Nest 49 was found during the high water from Tropical Storm Debbie that is moving in our area Sunday morning! Cathy found it by Paradise By the Sea. Good eyes Cathy! Most of the tracks had washed away but a few were left!

Wayne also found some eggs washing around in the surf on his walk in Inlet Beach. He buried them and we’ll see if they hatch. We’re not sure where they came from. Could have been a False Crawl from another day or a new nest laid last night that was waterlogged!

Time will tell what nests will hatch out. Great job everyone! We will have some wet walks. We still walk as long as there isn’t lightening. Hopefully that storm will peter out and the sun will be back soon!

UPDATE:
